I was initially told that all work would be completed by WYW own employees but it was contractors who actually came. I also confirmed with the salesman that all the manufacturing was to be done at the WYW site in Wakefield. I later found out that was not the case. I felt I was misled. The coordination of the project seemed very messy, sometimes workmen did not turn up when expected. When they did they seemed to want to be in and out as quickly as possible.
I had my current structure taken down and removed . The installers smashed some windows in the process and left a lot of small glass scattered around. this was not great as I have two small grandchildren who could have picked them up.
I also asked that the lead from the old structure should be left for me to take as scrap. The worker agreed to leave it and when reminded agreed to get it from his van but never did . This was unacceptable. One of the contractors left some screws scattered on the driveway that myself and neighbours used. One neighbour complained to me about this as I was not aware..
Generally I felt I needed to be around on this project so I could point out issues as they arrived. The electricians left the job and straight away we suffered fusing of the downstair sockets. and had to visit again to solve the issue which was a nicked wire running to earth.
I was disappointed with the way that the project went and based on this felt I had overpaid as I didnt really get the service I expected, even though once finished the structure was acceptable. I finished off some of the work myself as I didnt have confidence in the contractors to do what I wanted when I wanted. I paid promptly but the final payment was late due to me being away from home due to a family illness that WYW knew all about but they still felt it necessary to to send two letters requesting payment for the last 7.5% I held back until the job was done..If only WYW had been as efficient in doing the job as they were chasing payments I feel the project would have gone so much better.
One thing I think could be certainly improved would have been if someone from WYW had visited the job as each stage was completed to make sure all was going smoothly and up to the standards they required. This never happened even to the point of it being finished no one came to check the completed job.

The base finishing work was very bad- brick however good. Scheduling this works was very poor a scheduled 10 day programme took 5 weeks.

Really happy with the end product and was great to deal with a pleasant, friendly salesman who wasn't pushy at all.

Twice we arranged dates for workmen to come to fix...
Twice we arranged dates for workmen to come to fix a damaged frame-caused by the sub-contractors. They failed to come and did not notify us. Two times we had to stay in. POOR shoddy communication.
