Overall we are very pleased with our new garden room and with the quality of its materials and installation.  The workmen were polite and punctual, cleaned  up at the end of each day and were always ready to answer our questions.  The office staff at 5 Star kept us well informed of what was happening at times when we encountered glitches, e.g. because of delays arising from staff self-isolating or shortages of materials and they were quick to deal with any issues on which we needed clarification.  Our only complaint was that the first electricians who came did a very poor job, leaving the electrics in an unsafe state.  However, when we reported this to 5 Star they took immediate action: they arranged for another electrician to come out the next day (a Saturday when he did not usually work) and all the necessary remedial work was carried out on the following Monday.  Having previously been badly let down by another local firm we were reluctant to hope for too much but when we contacted 5 Star we felt we were in safe and efficient hands and would be very happy to recommend them.

Happy with the outcome. All staff were patient with our numerous changes from original order. Installation was efficient. All detritus was removed. Would have given 5 stars but only first 10yrs of the guarantee include labour, yrs 11-20, parts only.

From start to finish everybody involved was very helpful @ professional. Very pleased with the installation.

I was given good sales advice before choosing the right type of conservatory roof materials, at the budget that I had agreed to, and their price promise was indeed honoured within the 90 day price hold period following the issue of the quotation letter.

There was a delay before installation, but not an unreasonable one under the current uncertain economic circumstances, and an installation programme was agreed, this did in fact change but not massively, you need to allow 1-2 weeks from start date to completion.

The contractors carried out the work in a professional and friendly manner, my only recommendation would be to ask 5 Star to ensure contractors advise you by text / phone call of their approximate arrival time in advance, so you can ensure you are at home.

Overall, I would recommend 5 Star as a reputable company, and I am pleased with the new construction in my home.

From the initial quote to the final installation, communication was very good. During the quote we were given lots of options and everything was explained well. The door looked exactly as we had imagined, if not better. A very well built, good looking back door. The fitter was pleasant and tidy. Only downside was that there was a piece missing from the hinge and the fitter did not spot this, but this was sent out in the post quickly and easily fitted by myself. Would definitely use again.

This is the second time I have used 5 Star Windows and in the intervening 12 years the same standards of quality, service and aftercare are clearly still in place.
The replacing of two exterior wooden doors on my garage and office extension and one rotten wooden window in the garage with new 5 Star products went smoothly and I'm delighted with the result.
The installation of the cladding on the roof of the garage and office provided more challenges but I was thoroughly involved in the discussions of how to proceed and the installation team were careful to ensure I would be happy with the end result. They were polite to my elderly neighbour when they needed to be on his property and cleaned up every scrap of rubbish.
I have deducted one star only becuase the cladding installation was tricky, combining a single brick garage wall with a double brick office extension and a stepped roofline, and I feel more communication between the site surveyor, myself and the installation team would have been better before work commenced.
This does not detract from the end result though and I am delighted with the finish and security I now have for my outbuildings.

Installation service excellent and we have had previously a conservatory, windows and now guttering and drainage installed by 5-star so pleased with the work carried out.
 Only slight issue on this one we did not know when the fitters were coming to erect scaffolding and to carry out the work. In fairness this was not essential as everything was outside so work could progress but would have been helpful.

The measure of a Company is tied to how it deals with issues and there were many issues during the project to replace our doors, windows, guttering and cladding, all of which the 5star team did their best to overcome. Admittedly, many of the problems were caused by supply chain issues , staffing shortages and the COVID environment. 5-star were impacted by these issues which led to too many delays and obvious communication issues/processes  internally.
That said, we are very happy with the end result and it was worth the angst. 
Sometimes difficult to get to the right person .
Overall, I am satisfied and would recommend 5-star against the ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ firms.

This was a replacement roof on an existing conservatory, replacing polycarbonate with glass. As with this type of project things are likely to be more difficult than starting fresh. The original glass panels were not quite correct but there was no hesitation in replacing them and adjusting the roof pattern to suit our requirements. This was done at a time when getting glass was difficult due to the pandemic so we are very grateful to 5 Star for sorting this out for us. Fitters and service were efficient and friendly.

The product is good but the installation was a nightmare.
After being told the installation was complete it took a further four hours work by a company fitter before missing parts were fitted and the roof was waterproof.

Overall very pleased with the result. Project did however take longer than anticipated due to manufacturing / scheduling issues and hot temperatures which adversely affected the plastering. Great friendly team from all those we had dealings with. Also manged to incorporate bespoke LED lighting which was not part of the standard offering. Would happily recommend & use their services again.

Work carried out quickly and efficiently. Pleased with the products chosen.  Some wider trim required to cover gap between door frame and original floor. Some window buttons to allow windows to be moved to allow cleaning from the inside are too stiff and require a screw driver to move them. Unfortunately we found some old screws lying in the gravel parking area from the old windows, probably when loading the van with the waste.
