Things went great at the start, right products, fantastic price, the salesman was ace, explained everything in great detail. The deal was a 'no brainer, at that bargain price, having checked out the opposition.
The surveyor measured up, explained the slight complication to our setup, being an older property! The original window frames had a sash box set up, which had been modified by previous owners, and a framework had been installed, hiding over the mechanics. He advised that the frame should remain in situ, thus reducing the complication, and simplifying the fitting. Definitely, the way to go, easy fit, window out, window in, no problem!
NO such luck!
The frames supplied turned out to be too big, and wouldn't fit in the existing framework, so they couldn't be fitted on the day! There then followed a period of visits from the surveyor, etc, trying to decide who was at fault!
We eventually decided that the way forward was to accept the frames as supplied, but this involved removing the existing sash box frames, thus creating even more work than intended. A plasterer had to be involved to reinstate the surrounding window frame, and so we had to endure even more mess! Both windows had this treatment!
In fairness to '5 Star', they persevered throughout, and even though the job was drawn out, we couldn't fault the workmen. They made sure they cleaned up, every time! The resulting job was fantastic!
Thank you 5-star windows, we hiccupped along the way, but the final result was worth every penny, well done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your company!

For us this was a major project to demolish our existing conservatory and build a replacement. The only reason we have not given a '5' rating was that we were advised at the start that we would have an allocated project manager who would visit us and keep in contact during the 5 week job. This did not occur. We had four or five different tradesmen teams working on the job and they were all excellent. However, there were instances where we thought communication between them and head office could have been better as we had to explain a number of things that we had agreed with the sales team that had not been passed on to the tradesmen. Whilst we were able to communicate to head office via email we felt that we should have been able to talk regularly to the project manager. As to the quality of the workmanship and products, we are very pleased. Small snagging issues were dealt with efficiently and we are delighted with the end result.

We are very pleased with our new conservatory roof. All the workmen were friendly and polite and the work was completed efficiently. We've given a 4 star review because we thought communication with us from 5Star could have been better.

We had x 3 windows fitted plus a new composite door. This should of taken around 2 to 3 days to install.
Initial installation was botched by the fitters which then led to full, satisfied completion in around 1 year. The pandemic did not help, neither did the poor workmanship of the initial fitters.
A good company listens to its customers, accepts its failings and put things right. 5 star did this and after numerous fitters and surveyors the work was completed.
The products are well made and should last as there is a 20 year guarantee.
I would use this company again but would insist on experienced fitters for any future project. A good company is only as good as the people it employs.

Project manager failed to inform the customer of the changes to the planning
Delay in clean down after first date was cancelled by the customer
No coordination between contractors on site including failure to attend site meeting
Despite this we are happy with the overall result

From start to finish we were really impressed with our experience of 5 Star Windows.
The salesman Mike was very knowledgeable and supported us brilliantly in the decision making. No question seemed too silly and he kept in regular contact with us.
Over the three days of installation, the fitters worked extremely hard and were very clean and tidy.

The salesman gave us good advice about layout and construction and worked with us to get the best design for our project. The project started on time but there was a delay between the initial footings being constructed and the rest of the construction which was not in line with the program. We found it necessary to chase this up as no explanation was forthcoming. However once construction restarted a firm schedule was given and adhered to. Any issues we had were quickly dealt with in a very professional manner. All the workmen were very considerate and tidy and overall we are delighted with the finished build.
