Sash Windows and Solidor
Although I am happy with the products, I am disappointed with the fitting and the fact that none of the issues were brought to my attention by the fitter. Two out of the four windows had long scratches on the cills which had to be replaced, the door cill had a deep gash which had to be replaced. The Solidor had not been fitted correctly and it was difficult to lift the handle and lock it. Suppliers delivered the wrong kitchen window which resulted in a delay of two weeks while we waited for delivery of the correct one but they delivered the wrong one again so another delay. Installation started 22/8/22, finished 4/11/22.

Delighted with final fitting and product, but it has taken 14 months
I am delighted with the final product, and the fitters (Lee and Ryan) were excellent. I may use the company again for further windows, but only if Lee and Ryan could install. My overall experience however has been poor. 14 months from order to installation - delays initially with COVID and importation issues. Communication has been poor (frequent complaint from looking through reviews). Ordered May 2021. A number of delays to first installation. 1st installation Nov 2021 - terrible. Poor and incomplete installation, broken frames and glass. Incorrectly fitted and poor repairs to render. Not even straight. Job was left incomplete with no handles to open windows, and day light visible at top of windows. Complaint to Eden Windows resulted in site visit, and plan to remedy - plan to replace damaged parts, but keep and repair scratched frames (scratched during installation). Again communication was poor. There were delays in obtaining the required parts. I was then told that the supplier had gone bust, and they were having to re-source the windows entirely, and I would need to have the entire windows replaced. This has finally taken place, and completely different experience with excellent fitters. But it has taken 14 months. I still have not had a written apology for the first installation (apologies for the delays) and despite a verbal acceptance that the first installation was appalling, this has not been provided in writing. Conclusion - good product, and well installed this time, but it has taken 14 months and communication has been poor throughout. I would only use again if I am unable to source the same windows from another company for the rest of my property.

13 weeks wait
13 weeks wait for installation. many promised phone calls never happened. First date; van broke down; second date; couldn't do work due to surveyor error. Fitted at 3rd attempt.

This feedback relates to the windows and shutters...
This feedback relates to the windows and shutters we purchased from Eden.
Some of the windows arrived with a different spec to what was ordered. Patterned glass was delivered for the top sections. We had not asked for this and indeed the order form that went to the factory did not specify this.
We then had to wait a number of weeks before the correct glass was delivered.
The Shutters took 8 weeks to arrive.
After inspection the fitters realised there would be a problem fitting them into the window reveals. Basically they did not fit and it appeared that the survey had resulted in incorrect measurements.
Bearing in mind children' bedrooms were involved, curtain poles and curtains then had to be refitted to allow time for the surveyor and Eden management to decide on a way forward. The fitters kindly refitted the poles for us.
Surveyor came back to check and managed to find a way forward involving a "picture framing" solution. Fitters returned 2 weeks later and all went well.
Fitters were excellent.
Communication between them and surveyor was poor. Even when they arrived the 2nd time to do the shutters they had not been briefed on what the solution was!
Product is good.
Compensation for inconvenience caused was a paltry £100. On an order of £9000 I found this to be an insult.

We were very impressed by Eden Windows when the representative came to discuss our requirements. This was quickly dispelled,however, by mistakes made on our order form and by subsequent delays. Also needing three visits to fit one front door! The communication was appalling!!
The only saving grace were the fitters and the final product itself.
We were thinking of replacing our conservatory roof but not now!!

Bi fold doors. We were shown the integral blinds...
Bi fold doors. We were shown the integral blinds and thought they looked great and so ordered them. Unfortunately they do not fit properly and we are waiting for replacements. The fitters were very honest and explained what was wrong and we look forward to having them in place and working.

There should be a 3rd button for “Yes but”.
This has been a tortuous process which no doubt EDEN will want to explain.
The whole process from the first order took 6 months. This was initially due to the delivery of the wrong cills, (Residence 9) which then were then wrongly delivered and remained so for 2 months.
The external transom water bars took even longer and they too were firstly not delivered and then delivered incorrectly some 3 months into the process.
Since the first installation one of the Units has failed and is awaiting replacement.
Communication has been lacking.

Overall a good project with helpful office staff...
Overall a good project with helpful office staff without being overbearing, excellent fitters, a good project manager and an excellent quality product. We did however have to compromise because the overall height of our bi-fold doors had left no margin of tolerance and the initial fitting left the threshold below our house floor level which had we not accepted a compromise would have meant the doors/frame would have needed to be re-made. After the project manager came to site and we allowed the compromise, no one has contacted us from Eden windows to discuss since.
