We would never use 5 Star or recommend them. We were lied to a number of times no customer service

Very happy with my new composite door. Never felt I was being awkward while tweeking my initial design brief. Adjusted quotes were sent promptly and communication was quick and hassle free be it via telephone or email. Will definately use again in the future when the windows we inherited when we moved in require replacing.

We chose 5 star because we have had a conservatory/ doors fitted by them, and have always been pleased with the product + customer service.

Replacing patio doors. All staff very professional. Came when they said and did what they said. Wrong handles fitted at factory on doors but the fitter did his best to source replacements and return quickly to fit correct ones. My only comment (not criticism) would be that the new doors were narrower than those they replaced and the old silicone was left on the brickwork. This was rectified by additional trim after the fit but it would have been useful for the salesman/surveyor to mention this at the start and perhaps suggest ways this could be overcome on completion. other than that very satisfied at the moment.

We wanted to replace the majority of our windows and doors so contacted 5 Star Windows due to them being local and having a good reputation. Initial contact was great and an appointment was made with a sales adviser. Mike was excellent in presenting us with many options and the quote was very competitive. However, the main reason for us choosing them was the quality of the products. The next stage of the process was poor, we were informed of a potential date of installation and quite quickly we realized that the company was too busy to meet its original promise and we ended up with a long wait of almost 4 months. Had we known it would take this long we would have continued but it would have been better if they had been honest from the start. Communication was awful and we had to keep chasing them for updates, a surveyor was sent around but made mistakes and we had to wait for another surveyor to attend before they could begin production. None of this was sent over to us and if we had not have chased we may still be waiting now! Thankfully the products were made and a date of installation was agreed. Now for the best part, the quality of the installation was wonderful and far exceeded our expectations. Gavin and Neil were very professional and had immense skill in both the fitting but also coming up with better options than the surveyor in terms of finish and tricky issues that they faced in dealing with an old Victorian house. The finished product is breathtaking and not only the quality that we hoped for but the look is outstanding. Whilst we were met with difficulties throughout the process, we would certainly recommend them purely for their installation and quality. If they could iron out the poor communication then they would have had 5 stars themselves.
