We were very pleased with the whole experience. There was an immediate response to our query re re-fitting of windows, and an appointment made quickly to meet with us at home. The advice we got was very helpful and clear, and gave us the confidence to go ahead with the project. All the staff we had contact with were polite, punctual, clearly knew what they were doing, and explained what they were going to do at every stage. My experience with 5 Star was very good. I would use them again

It was nice to be remembered as previous customers. Overall experience was just a tad below what we had before but nonetheless generally happy. To get the job finished in 2 days, the fitters did stay until after 7.30 pm on the second day and seemed rushed to be finished even then. I would have preferred they left at the normal time and come back fresh for the next morning for a couple of hours. As it was they were tired which probably meant the job was not finished as well as what it could have been. The fitters van, parked on my drive, did not start when they left at 7.45pm and they had to call for a repair van. Whilst it did not inconvienience us, it could have done if we needed to have got our car off the drive. There is a need to come back and do remedial work.

We were replacing front doors and windows. We made initial contact through recommendation. Staff in the showroom were very helpful and an appointment was quickly made. The salesman who came was helpful but not pushy and explained our options on the various types of fittings and windows clearly. The fitting went smoothly and the finish was excellent. The fitter was friendly and worked very hard. You will notice that I have put 4 or 5 stars throughout. There is no implied criticism in any of that. It would just be silly to give absolute perfection to any survey. The 4 stars for the tidiness of the fitter was purely down to the fact that it rained the whole time and it was difficult to keep my drive clean. This was not his fault and will right itself with time. Everything within the house was kept spotless. He used dust-sheets throughout and cleaned all of the windows thoroughly after fitting. Overall I am very happy about how smoothly the whole process went. As I advance in years I find that I dislike having any work done on my house more and more. 5 Star made the process as stress free as it can possibly be.

Unfortunately I found tidiness the one thing that let the whole experience down, I found three very sharp screws approximately 50mm long on my bathroom floor, where bare feet are most likely to be, I also found other screws in the rear bedroom. In addition plastic swarf was left in the window frames which was blown into the house as soon as a light breeze picked up. Just over a week after the installation my son presented me with a 150mm screw he found in his bedroom under his desk, this was from the window frame which was removed by your fitters. After all that I would recommend 5star to others with a suggestion that the clean up was closely monitored, the product quality is good and the 20 year warranty is worth having so my thanks to 5 star for a job well done with a small minus.
