Excellent Service!

It was all so very easy from beginning to end. There was no hard sell and the quote was very detailed and clear. There was a problem in that two of our windows are so small that our chosen design wasn't appropriate. Permaframe found another manufacturer using the same materials who would make the windows as we required. We were really impressed that so much trouble was taken and we were kept informed all the time. The installers were very pleasant men who worked solidly and didn't waste a minute. Unfortunately it rained the whole time they were here and I did feel sorry for them but they didn't seem to mind. Everyone we've seen or spoken to at Permaframe has been pleasant and professional.

This was 2nd time I have used Orion and once again I was more than satisfied with the whole procedure. Everyone connected with Orion was polite, friendly and efficient. The fitters were friendly and pleasant to have in the house and appeared to work harmoniously. The salesman, surveyor and fitters all appeared at their promised times. The follow-up telephone call was most appreciated. I will definitely recommend Orion to others.

Really not sure whether I'd recommend - we are definitely in 2 minds! Everything went extremely well to start with and we ad a good start date, but then things started to slip. We had no further communication with the salesperson, Ross Manser, after sending emails stating our issues, although Mark Pratt dealt with these. The sub contracted builders built in cold, wet weather and their brickwork was very poor. Even coming back innumerable times they still haven't made an acceptable job of this. Mark told me he'd get them back again but there has been no sign of this. One of their 2 pillars was 'out' and their heights not accurate, meaning our roof is 1" out of true! Then we had a 6 week delay waiting for the doors and roof - would have been longer had I not pushed. These were fitted well and the plastering was, equally done well. We had issues again though with the subcontracted electrician who was awkward and has cracked a tile under our fuseboad (denying it) and fitted a poor quality dimmer switch that causes the lights inside the room to flicker when they are dimmed. They also fitted a pir security light outside on the ring main so it came on when the conservatory lights were on! The build should have had ventilation, which I mentioned at the planning stage, yet didn't and we had trouble drying out the plaster, even when we hired an industrial dehumidifier. After a good deal of negotiation we purchased a solution and 5 Star took this cost off their price. So... would we recommend? A difficult one! We are very pleased with (most) of our finished room, but we have had issues along the way. The selling process was good but, overall, we have not felt we've had a great experience. It seemed that those who sell aren't interested in problems afterwards! To be fair the work of those who are employed by 5Star themselves seems to be good, our real issues came from their sub contractors, but, if these people aren't up to the job, then different sub contractors should be used.

From start to finish the experience for us was seamless, everyone we spoke to were very professional and delivered exactly what we asked for. The two fitters Alan and Kevin worked tirelessly throughout the installation super craftsmen and super Graftsmen. Overall Clearview home improvements gave us what we wanted through professionalism, workmanship and time scale. Spot on clearview very well done. Lyn & Barrie Winkworth
