New Windows and doors
Have just had the rear of my houses windows replaced by Amber after having the front windows and exterior doors replaced by them a year back .l am so pleased with the results and couldn't recomend them higher.l know this is only one person's review but 5 stars from me. Very pleased david palgrave suffolk.

Windows and doors
Overall a good and honest company with good products.
We had windows and doors fitted by an excellent team.
My only concern is when things are faulty.
I had a sealed unit that was marked and it took several weeks to get it replaced .1st replacement was faulty and had to be reordered.Some handles that I wanted replacing on existing products proved a problem . This was due to poor measuring by surveyer and poor communication with the person who order them.

Avoid!!!
Had an extension built Feb 2024. Building work was completed quickly and to a very high standard as was the inside. Amber have let themselves down with the exterior which was due to be rendered early April. The work has still not been carried out despite endless promises, emails or calls are not returned …. Very disappointed.

New front door &side panels
Design consultant was friendly and on time.The door fitter did excellent job.The wrong glass was fitted in the door the side panels were fine . The door glass was eventually sorted .Overall i am pleased.

Third Time and the Last Time
We have used Amber twice before. We liked them. We used them again. This time, they messed up the order. They got the wrong windows, wrong fittings, and wrong glass. A commendable effort in getting it wrong. So, it wasn't installed on the day and we had to wait several more weeks before the windows were finally fitted.
These things happen. Unfortunately, we lost business as a result of the mistake by Amber Windows. It cost us money - not much. Maybe £200. I hinted for a reduction on the bill. I asked for a reduction on the bill. They simply ignored me.
That's fine. They did the job. Albeit - a bit of a mess up.
Here's the thing. We aim to update and install new windows in the front of the house next year. It's a huge job and Amber Windows won't be getting the contract. That £200 will be a rounding error, by the time we get the bill for the windows.
Very Norfolk. Very petty. Very short-sighted.

Great service
Would really recommend Amber for any work you might need doing. They have been lovely people to work with from start to finish, and any issues which have arisen have been dealt with quickly. Special mention for the fitter who came to our house - was a really lovely guy and very efficient and accommodating to our comings and goings throughout the day!

Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
Amber people, products & service are all professionally excellent. Cheyenne greeted us warmly on entering Showroom. Paul Edwards visited our cottage & knowledgeably guided us through designing styles for x 17 replacement windows. Kayleigh's quote was fractionally cheaper than 2 competitors. No petty haggling (as in rife in this sector), first price was final price & NO chasing for our decision. Deposit Paid. Steve surveyed to fine-tune our needs & set installation date. Major problem with incorrect design discovered on delivery to site, but rapidly resolved by Dean. Error was by third-party manufacturer in Wakefield but within 3 days Dean ensured x 11 remanufactured & returned windows are back on site. Amazing installers Scott & John worked tirelessly, tidily & to an exceptional standard. Now, several weeks later, not a single issue has emerged. Neighbour said to me last week 'Your new windows look lovely, I see you went for timber again'. That comment was wonderful since carefully selecting 'flush' style uPVC windows with Paul Edwards was to make out 250 y.o. cottage look as traditional as possible yet with the practicality of uPVC. I suggest you also explore having twin windows opening without a central vertical strut - giving a wide-open space instead (called a flying mullion). Start to finish was a great experience with Amber. If you are honest, open & professional with them, that is what you will get in return. Highly recommended.

Good products but could improve quality control
We ordered a large number of casement windows and a patio door. Upon installation there were a number of blemishes in the glass and minor defects in a few of the frames. It would have been best if these could have been identified before the installation took place. These resulted in a number of units having to be replaced.
The installation team were efficient and there was no issue with replacing the defective items. However, it took a long time for the replacement units to be available and communication was poor around the timescales for this.
Overall, we are very happy with the quality of our new windows and patio door - no more draughts through ill-fitting wooden sash windows!

Very pleased overall
Removal of old conservatory/build work for new installation and installation of new unit were separated by weeks, rather than days, which was inconvenient. Subsequently a failure of communication between two people who work together left us unable to use our washing machine for close to a month. An annoying part of a very good job.

Delayed installation
Door itself and installation adequate but installation cancelled twice with no reason and short notice. Direct emails to CEO and complaints department ignored.

Bad customer service
Used them last year and they were great. However, this year the experience was bad. Zero contact after I agreed the purchase, I had to chase them to take it further. Installation was delayed twice and would have been a 3rd time if I hadn't complained. After installation they left mastic, screws and rubble everywhere, with very little effort to clean up. There were several snags as well.The lady in customer service wasnt particularly polite and no discount was offered despite the bad service. I would not recommend.
