From walking into the showroom to the finished orangery, James Oliver took care of everything.
We weren't really sure what we were looking for in terms of the build, but we explained what we would use the room for, photos of our house etc and from there we shown different designs from their previous clients builds and looked around lots of examples in the showroom until eventually our tailor made design was born.
Every stage of the build had attention to detail, for example matching the cement colour to the original brickwork. Each new team that arrived were friendly and professional. We were always well informed as to what would happen next and when.
We chose James Oliver as our friends had used them and we were very impressed with their build. We absolutely adore our new addition to our home and wouldn't hesitate to recommend James Oliver to anyone else looking for the perfect home extension.

From start to finish the whole experience was easy to follow from the initial meeting with the salesman who didn't pressure sell,the very efficient survey and probably the best and hardest working window fitter I have seen(Neil).Even the billing was exact and very well explained.

The service from 5 star was amazing with the finish of all the windows and doors being just as good. All the little details were taken care of and executed to perfection as well as the neat finish being on point. Would highly recommend!

Needed some work done that couldn't be completed until other work was done, and ERG hung with me while I was bounced around through that without a word of complaint, even though I know their scheduling got messed about as well. When they did show up, they immediately put on masks without a word of argument (more rare than should be the case, unfortunately) and did a superb job very efficiently. I did feel that each of their teams (sales, customer service and installers) were consistently courteous; I recommend ERG without hesitation.

We had great service from start to finish. The salesman visited our home for the initial quote. He was very informative and we understood the quality of the products and the process to install, but none of the hard sell, which I really liked. We accepted the quote. The guys who installed did a professional job, worked cleanly and took all their mess away. They even did the hoovering when they were finished! The products speak for themselves, they are such good quality. We feel like we have got much more for our money by choosing 5 Star. All staff who we have dealt with have been professional and super friendly. We have no complaints. 100% recommend to anyone. Good job 5 Star, thank you.

Great company to deal with. Even when you know exactly what you want the surveyor will help with suggestions for improvements such as a wider door so our customers can fit through with their luggage etc. They finished the door off beautifully even adding a little extra trim on the inside that I requested to make the finish perfect. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use again. The whole team are very helpful from salesmen, to fitters, surveyor and office staff...superb..thank you

From start to finish the service has been amazing. We used the website to organise a meeting for a quote. Luke came out to us he was very knowledgeable and helpful! The installation team were great too, very professional and quick. Would definitely use 5 star again and recommend to anyone interested. 

First had a new sliding door fitted, which in total took almost five months. Measured incorrectly initially, and had to wait ages for the replacement. Doors satisfactory, and a discount was given for the problems encountered.
Second, had already ordered a new conservatory, to slightly enlarge old one, and again, measured incorrectly. Frequent calls, emails etc with quibbles about almost everything. 5* finally finished the project eleven months after beginning removal of the old conservatory, which was four months after initiating the project. Poor communication between all aspects of design, work, finishing. Final product is almost what I originally asked for. Not impressed, and very little was offered by way of compensation - had to fight tooth and nail for anything.

We recently (April 2025) had a new front door and four windows installed in our house in Fortrose, Highland Region and are delighted with the high quality of the products and the skilled workmanship of the installers.
The composite door is of the high quality we were looking for since our house faces the sea (about 150 metres away) and the prevailing wind. Despite several days of severe gales and driving rain, it has already proved its worth - an enormous improvement on our previous door which although double glazed allowed the wind to penetrate round its edges.
The four PVC windows we had fitted on the north facing side of the house are also impressive. As well as having a high standard of insulation, they are also very attractive to look at, as has been commented on by several visitors.
The whole process from the first survey through to final installation was first class, especially the efficiency and friendliness of the staff from salesman, surveyor, receptionist and installers.
We should add, that we had a conservatory and garage conversion carried out by ERG Scotland about five years ago and were also very impressed by them.

This is the second time we have used 5 star windows. First time we had all our windows changed which have exceeded expectations and they look fantastic.
Most recently we have had a set of bi-folds doors to replace a window. I am absolutely over the moon with them, they look amazing, the quality is second to none and the service has been outstanding. They have given our living room a new modern looking twist whilst creating a great connection with the outside. I would highly recommend this company. I cannot thank them enough!
